HOW TO USE NUNA PIPA CAR SEAT WITH CITY SELECT STROLLER

As a first time mom, I was completely lost as to what baby items I needed. Obviously, I knew I needed a car seat and stroller, so I set out to find the best car seat and stroller! Boy was I overwhelmed! There are SO many brands and products to choose from in the stroller and car seat categories, but after careful research I finally made my decision. I went with the Nuna Pipa car seat and the City Select stroller and here I am 14 months later and I could NOT be happier with these two items.

If you are not buying a travel system, you will need to make sure your car seat is compatible with your stroller. Because City Select does not have a matching car seat, they make adapters for different car seats to click into their strollers. HERE is the adapter that fits the Nuna Pipa car seat.

The adapters and car seat click in easily and then you’re ready to go! You can face the car seat towards you or away from you. I kept the car seat facing me the majority of the time, but when my son got a little older I would sometimes flip him the other way so he could look at something other than my face when we were on walks!

I loved this car seat and stroller combo so much and would recommend it to anyone looking! I got so compliments on my “set up” everywhere I went and I want you to know that as much as I like the way the items look, I like how the preform even better! It’s very easy to take transfer the car seat from the stroller to your car.

Love this combo and hope to be using it myself. How do find the adapters? Do you have the use the belt over the top? Would love a closer up picture if you could. Thanks for the awesome post.

    • Ashley says:

Hey Samantha! The adapters can be found on the baby jogger website. No belt needs to be used over the top! My infant car seat is now in storage now that my son’s grown out of it, but there may be a closer up photo on the baby jogger website! Let me know if you have any other questions!

How do you detach the car seat from the stroller!?? I can. Or figure it out nor can I find anything online.

Why did you choose not to go with the Nuna Mixx stroller?

    • Ashley says:

Hey Michelle! I chose the City Select over the Mixx for 2 reasons. The city select turns into a double stroller and I intend to have another child in the near future. And also the price was about $300 cheaper if I remember right!

Also, what carseat did you go with once your little one got too big for the Pippa?

    • Ashley says:

I got the Maxi Cosi Pria 85 once my son grew out of the Pipa. However, Nuna now makes a convertible car seat now that I would have gotten had it been available at the time!

How do you use the Nuna infant car seat with the Citi Select double stroller? We’ve done it with the Citi Mini single stroller with no issues (with the adapters you mentioned), but it’s not working with the double stroller. We have an infant and a toddler. Thanks!

    • Melissa says:

Do you have the adapter we mentioned? You should be able to use the infant seat in the upper position and the second seat (purchased separately) in the lower position. Let me know if that makes sense!

Hi Ashley, can you leave the nuna car seat adapter on when you fold up the stroller? (So, once you put the adapter on, you just keep it on until you’re going to move on to another car seat when the baby is older.) Did the car seat feel secure or did you feel like it jiggled/wobbled around a bit due to the adapter? Thank you for the insight!
