Soon after my sweet Scarlett was born (see that crazy story here), I realized that she has extremely sensitive skin.  My older girls also have sensitive skin, but I have never seen anything like little Scar.  Her skin turns red wherever she is touched or held and her face breaks out if any lotion or cream gets on it.  If Scarlett rubs her eyes it looks as though she has been crying for hours.  I have to be very careful with what touches her skin.  She is the extreme.  But even if she were not the extreme, I would still choose Organic Cotton.  All infants have more sensitive skin than adults.  That is why their bath water should be tested with your inside wrist, they can’t wear sunscreen until 6-months-old and certain skin care products are made specifically for baby skin.

When looking for a good carrier for our last family vacation of the summer, I was SO excited to give the LILLEbaby Organic Cotton Complete Baby Carrier a try.  This carrier not only made traveling and navigating Disneyland a breeze, it didn’t irritate my little one’s sensitive skin!  It is soft, beautiful and multi-functional.  Here are my favorite things about the LILLEbaby Organic Cotton Complete Baby Carrier and find it here:

100% Organic Cotton – Organic Cotton is cotton that was not treated with pesticides, insecticides, herbicides or Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).  Many of these treatments contain toxins that are not only harmful to farmers, but also to us as consumers.  Organic Cotton is softer and less irritating to skin so it makes it the perfect material to use on that sensitive baby skin!

Gorgeous Colors – The LILLEbaby Organic Cotton Baby Carrier comes in gorgeous, soft colors.  I chose the Blush, but it also comes in Seaglass Green,  Blue Moonlight, Green Meadow, and Powder Blue.

6-Position Carrier – This carrier is the ultimate because your baby can be worn in 6 different positions!  Fetal Carry, Face In with Infant, Face Forward, Face in with Wide Seat, Hip Carry, and Back Carry.

Great Back Support – The lumbar strap on the LILLEbaby Organic Cotton Baby Carrier seals the deal for my husband.  It takes so much pressure off and really makes baby wearing comfortable!

Hood – As if LILLEbaby hadn’t already thought of everything, they tucked a little hood inside a pocket (which also happens to be the perfect size tohold your phone also).  This hood pops out and protects baby from sun.  I like to pull the hood up when Scarlett falls asleep to create her own little quiet pocket and discourage people (aka excited older sisters) from bugging her.  The hood also made discreet nursing easy!

Here are some photos of us enjoying our LILLEbaby Organic Cotton Baby Carrier on the way to and at Disneyland.  (Unfortunately I dropped and broke my camera, so I didn’t get as many pictures as I wanted, but hopefully you get the idea.)

Hello! Thanks for sharing your gorgeous family pics. The carrier is so stunning and I am currently torn between the organic and embossed. I’m concerned about the inside of the organic not being as soft as the embossed. How does it hold up in the hot weather? How do you keep it clean?

Thank you, Patty. I LOVE the organic! It is super soft and SO great for a baby with sensitive skin (like my little one). It is great in hot weather (although, like any baby wearing, body heat is always there). I wore it all through last summer and we both did just fine. I spot clean mine, although did put it in a hand-wash/cold cycle in the washer one time and hung it to dry. That worked out really well. For our sensitive skin needs, the organic worked out best, but I don’t think you can go wrong with any LILLEbaby carrier!

I also wanted to point out that it is important to practice and get advice from expert baby wearers. I wasn’t wearing mine entirely proper in some of these photos, so to make sure baby is safe, research how to properly wear the baby in the carrier. Took me a little practice, but it’s a breeze now!
